This page will give a more insight to Dave's past and bring you up to date on where he's heading!

Dave was born April 3, 1957 in Keeseville, New York.......a small town just south of Canada and only a few miles from Lake Placid, New York.
His first musical interests began when he and his brother Joe would sing for local K of C breakfasts. This was at the age of about eleven or twelve.
His mom bought him his first guitar when he was about thirteen.....a Christmas present, which he left on the couch in thier living room and later that day
would be accidently sat on, and broke by his mother.
A few years would pass before Dave would again pursue his guitar playing desires.
As a junior in high school a couple of his friends wanted to put together a rock n roll band to play dances. They would call the band "BADSTONE". Dave's Dad (BRAVE MAN) took the gang from Keeseville to Union City, New Jersey, this being the closest discount music store,
and they bought guitars, amps, and drums, loaded them on the roof of Dad's stationwagon and headed home. For two years they played (yeah right) school dances, ect...and Dave knew only
how to pick notes and very little bar chords. Then came college....everything on the back burner again. Dave went to the State Univercity at Morrisville in Central New York State
Studing engineering. While there he was a member of the swim team. In 1977 was part of one of the fastest medley relay teams in the country, swimming the breaststroke leg of the race.

He only spent two years at school and in......
March of 1977, Dave entered the Airforce, so guitar playing took another back
seat. It would be a total of five years before Dave would begin to play again.
Stationed in Iceland, Dave met a guy named Chuck Wixon who would change his love for playing guitar
forever. Chuck taught Dave everything he could about chords and learning songs. Together they formed a band called "JESTER" which played for two years at military clubs in Iceland.
After the first year Chuck left for the states and Dave kept the band going as a three piece, learning more and loving playing even more.
In 1982, Dave left the Airforce and headed for Florida. Settling in Kissimmee with his first wife and two small children, there was no time for playing and Dave went to work at Walt Disney
World in the food service industry. This lasted about five years and when Dave started working for the Post Office, it allowed him the time to pick up playing music again.
Dave formed a band called "Lyre".
They played small places around Osceola County but never amounted to much.
The next project was called "ONE",(Danny played drums in this band), which was quite a bit better and played around town for about a year.

Next came a series of "PRIVATE PROPERTY" bands....everything from female singers to oldies rock n roll convention type bands until about 1990 when PRIVATE PROPERTY turned mainly to 80's rock n roll.
The band made quite a mark on the Central Florida mucic scene and is when Dave met Donnie who became the last singer in Private Property before it's breakup around 1994.
Dave would again take about a year break until one day running into his old buddy Danny White at the Silver Spurs Rodeo and the start of KID RIDLYN!!!!
Dave is married to a great friend,
Lynn Doughty. Lynn is originally from Dothan, Alabama and is alot of fun when hanging out with the band.
He will always say that his biggest influence, when it comes to playing guitar is most definateley the late
Ronnie Garvin,
from the STRANGER BAND. His musical interests are very wide enjoying new country as well as heavy rock n roll.
His favorite band is usually said to be AC/DC, BON JOVI, or AEROSMITH depending on the day.
Dave enjoys sports and the outdoors and goes camping when ever he gets a weekend free.(doesn't happen much!) He also enjoys watching movies and has started quite a collection of his own for his personal
home theater.......(Bose Powered!)
Dave also believes very highly in the fellowship of musicians throughout the Central Florida area and hopes that more bands will get heard and signed from here.
Dave also is a proud Grandpa..........
He has a daughter, Dona, married and living in California(Haylee's mom) and a son Jonathan, living in Orlando, Florida.

Dave has called Orlando home now for about seven years and plans to always have, atleast some roots here in the Central Florida area.
Anyone who has ever seen Dave play, knows how much he loves playing rock n roll and performing on stage. We hope you have enjoyed this nostolgic look
back into Dave's life.
And Now it's 2003 Dave has another Grand child....A Grandson, "LANE" from his daughter and son in law Dona and Drew.
Things with Dave are going great and with the growth of Kid Ridlyn it looks like he'll keep ROCKIN' for a long time!
