CHANGES BEGIN
......
Almost a year into the project...tension was building with bass player,
Joe and the rest of the band......Dave Schuette knew of another bass player named
Steve Wilkinson, who after meeting with Danny, Dave and Dave was added to the line-up
replacing Joe. This was a refreshing spark the band needed to boost them up to another level.
Things seemed to be going great.....the band did a great New Years Eve show with the very popular
band, Cherry Bomb, at the SunSet Strip and a couple of weeks later Dave Schuette informed the band
that he was leaving to sing for Jerry Riggs' new band. (Jerry is a great player who once toured with
Pat Travers and can now be seen with Bobby Friss) Dave Bennage had just learned of the break-up
of Cherry Bomb and called his long time friend Donnie Lee to see if he would be interested in the spot!
( Donnie and Dave had worked together several years in the group Private Property) Donnie said
yes and that Tuesday the band played the SunSet Strip to a standing room only crowd!!!!!!!!!!
The new line-up of Donnie, Danny, Steve and Dave was to make a definite mark on the Central Florida music
scene. Now playing shows from Tampa to Daytona and opening for national acts like Bad Company, Foghat,
Blue Oyster Cult, and REO Speedwagon it was time to start writing songs of their own.
Rehearsals started at Steve's house for what was to be some of the first Kid Ridlyn material.
The band found it hard to play without the driving energy of "live" performances so most of what you
hear on the CD was written "LIVE" on stage with ideas from Dave and Donnie.
